Description:

Meissen mandrill a West African baboon. first modelled by Otto Pilz in 1907. Illustrated in Meissen Porcelain of the Art Nouveau Period by Johannes Just, page 104. Pilz created a number of animal models for Meissen between 1905 and 1912.
