Description: Meissen figure of Chiarina from a series of five models first created by Paul Scheurich in 1914 and based on the dancers in the ballet Carnaval. The ballet Carneval was performed by Diaghilev's company Ballet Russes at the Teater des Westens in Berlin on 20th May 1910. The dancer Vera Fokina performed as Chiarina.
