Description:

Meissen Dalmatian sitting on a cushion. The Dauphin of France (1655-1732) is painted stroking a Dalmation and the breed can also be found in paintings from Denmark during the same period. This dog is referred to in the Meissen Factory catalogues as a Danish dog.

First modelled in 1762 by J.J.Kaendler, model no. 2899
