Description: Meissen model of a dancer holding a grotesque mask. Modelled by Paul Scheurich. It is thought that Scheurich based the model on a character from the opera the Tales of Hoffman by Jacques Offenbach which was performed in Berlin in 1932.The first models were produce only in white in 1937. The first colourd model was not produced until 1945.- SOLD -
