Description: Pair of Meissen grape harvesters. The man holding a basket of grapes in his left hand, his right hand holds a staff over his right shoulder on the end of which is balanced another basket of grapes. The woman supports a basket of grapes with her left arm and holds a pruning knife in her right. First modelled by J.J.Kaendler in 1740. - SOLD -
