Description: Meissen model of a bear from a series of 75 models entitled 'Reineke Fuchs'. Reynard the Fox was the central animal in a series of loosly connected fables involving animals which were popular in mediaeval Europe. The whole series was created by Max Esser between 1920 and 1928.- SOLD -
