Description:

Rare Meissen pair of biscuit figures first modelled by Acier c.1777. The girl seated with an open book checking the time on a watch. She appears to tutoring the boy who is distressed at not being able to conduct his studies to his tutor's satisfaction.

Dimensions: Both 14 cms high
Mark Info:

Incised crossed swords within a triangle. This was the mark used on biscuit porcelain during the Marcolini period. 1774-1814.
