Description:

Meissen teabowl and saucer c.1728. The teabowl decorated with merchants and goods on a quayside. The saucer decorated with a river leading to the sea with a water mill in the foreground. The scenes within ornate cartouches enhanced with purple and iron red panels outlined by gilt scrolls. The interior of the tea bowl decorated with Indianische Blumen.

Dimensions: Diameter of saucer 12 cms.

Crossed swords in under glaze blue to both teabowl and saucer. Gilder's 84 in gold to each piece. Dreher's V to footrim of teabowl.
